Production of the First Heavy H-beam Irregular Continuous Casting Billet in Maanshan Iron and Steel Mill

The production of the first heavy H-beam continuous casting billet in Maanshan Iron and Steel Mill on December 20 marked the successful trial run of the heavy H-beam profiled billet caster.

Heavy H-beam is the first hot rolled heavy H-beam production line in China, with designed annual output of 790,000 tons. The main products are high value-added H-beam products such as heavy series, thick-walled series and wide flange series, which are currently lacking in China, and some special-shaped steel products such as super-large angle steel, U-shaped steel sheet pile and cap steel for railway vehicles.
